The wife of missing newlywed Dominick Bianchi is making an emotional plea for her husband to come home after he disappeared from their East Greenbush, New York, home earlier this week.
Bianchi, 35, was last seen around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning at his home in East Greenbush, just south of Albany. According to police, he left behind his cellphone, wallet and car, leaving his family increasingly concerned about his whereabouts.
His wife, Julianna Zyra, whom he married just months ago, spoke publicly about the disappearance and directly addressed her husband in a tearful interview.
“Whatever it is that’s going on, there are so many people who care about you want you to be OK,” Zyra said.
“I know you feel really alone, but there are people who want to help you. If you’re seeing this, please, come home.”
Wife Says Husband Has Been Struggling
Zyra said Bianchi has been dealing with mental health issues “for quite some time” and urged people to avoid speculation about what may have happened to him.
“It’s not fair. And I really wish people would stay off the internet, hypothesizing things that happened, he’s very sick and he is not in the right headspace,” she said.
The family is also particularly worried because Bianchi has type 1 diabetes and may not have his insulin with him.
According to Zyra, Bianchi uses a continuous glucose monitor that is paired with the cellphone he left at home.
“He has a continuous glucose monitor, which is paired to his phone that he doesn’t have,” she explained.
Police Ask Community to Search for Bianchi
Bianchi is described as 5-foot-11 and was reportedly wearing black sweatpants, a black long-sleeve shirt and possibly a baseball hat when he was last seen.
He has several identifying tattoos, including a skull and roses tattoo on his chest, a baseball tattoo on his right arm and a cross tattoo on his back.
The East Greenbush Police Department is asking residents in the area to check their properties and look through sheds, vehicles and other places where Bianchi could potentially be found. Authorities are also asking people to review trail-camera footage and home surveillance video for any signs of him.
