The BBC crime drama first aired back in 2021 and kept viewers gripped from start to finish.
Welsh actress Gabrielle Creevy had BBC viewers on the edge of their seats in the gripping BBC series The Pact.
The star plays Tamsin, a troubled teenager who is the daughter of one of the main characters, Anna (Laura Fraser).
The series, which began in 2021, follows four brewery co-workers as their loyalty is tested when their lives take an unexpected turn.
After their arrogant boss turns up dead, the four colleagues make a pact to keep their involvement completely silent.
However, that tragic night sets off a tense chain of police investigations and escalating blackmail.
Laura and Gabrielle are joined by the likes of Broadchurch star Julie Hesmondhalgh in the six-part drama, along with Eiry Thomas, Heledd Gwynn, Eddie Marsan and Jason Hughes.
It was filmed across Wales, with the locations such as Blaenavon, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire & Newport all being key settings.
A synopsis for The Pact reads: “When a young brewery boss is found dead, a chain of events is triggered that draws four of his employees into a fragile pact of silence that will change their lives forever. “
However, the show returned in 2024 for a second series, which followed a different group of people when one family’s loyalties are tested when they’re confronted by a stranger.
Since the series was first released, it’s been highly praised by fans, with many calling it a must-watch.
One person said: “Brilliant Show. I really enjoyed every episode. Usually, when there’s a 6 part series, the story lines seem to drift, and the odd episode is irrelevant, but this just kept us gripped throughout. Well written and well acted.”
Someone else commented: “Horrifyingly outstanding… this is how drama needs to be done.” While a third wrote: “AMAZING. Quite possibly one of the best series I have ever seen.”
Another person shared: “Great drama, acting, and scenery. Binge-watched this really great drama. Excellent cast and story, kept you guessing. Full of drama and intrigue.”
While a fourth wrote: “I thought this was great, so many twists and turns in the plot. A story about, family, friends and loyalty. Who and what do you value most important? Really impressed with this series, a massive thumbs up from me.”
The Pact is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
