SHE LEFT THE TODAY SHOW WITHOUT WARNING… BUT WHAT HAPPENED JUST HOURS BEFORE HER FLIGHT HAS EVERYONE ASKING QUESTIONS. Just hours after a terrifying security breach at NBC, Savannah Guthrie was spotted leaving New York with her husband, Michael Feldman, ahead of a weeks-long break from Today. While the trip is officially for work in England, the timing—combined with the ongoing mystery surrounding her missing mother—has sparked plenty of questions.

SAVANNAH Guthrie has officially kicked off her latest weeks-long break from Today.

Just one day after a frightening security breach rattled NBC’s Studio 1A, the longtime Today anchor was spotted heading out of New York City with her husband, Michael Feldman.

The couple prepared to leave town for her multi-week-long work assignment overseas.

Savannah, 54, and Michael were photographed arriving at LaGuardia Airport on Friday morning with their luggage in tow.

She kept it casual in a navy cardigan, relaxed blue jeans and white sneakers while carrying a large tan tote over one shoulder.

The news anchor appeared makeup-light behind oversized sunglasses and wore her blonde hair pulled back.

Michael matched the laid-back travel vibe in a navy polo shirt, khaki pants and sneakers as he wheeled multiple suitcases through the terminal.

At one point, the couple were seen chatting while making their way toward the airport entrance before checking in for their flight.

The outing came less than 24 hours after Savannah wrapped her portion of Thursday’s Today broadcast, which ended on a dramatic note behind the scenes.

As The U.S. Sun previously reported, an intruder allegedly bypassed security at Rockefeller Plaza and entered a restricted area near Studio 1A before confronting Today anchor Craig Melvin while shouting racial slurs.

It was reported that the intruder was originally asking for Al Roker before seeing Craig.

The suspect was quickly taken into custody and no injuries were reported, though NBC said it is reviewing security procedures following the incident.

Savannah had already signed off from the morning show shortly after 9 a.m. before the alarming security breach unfolded.

The security breach is seemingly unrelated to her heading out of town and now, she’s swapping Studio 1A for the UK.

During Thursday’s Today broadcast, Carson Daly announced that Savannah would be stepping away from the morning show for “a few weeks” to film NBC’s upcoming Wordle game show in Manchester, England.

“We’re going to film the whole season over the next few weeks,” Savannah told viewers, adding that she couldn’t wait to bring the beloved word game to television.

The series, executive produced by Jimmy Fallon in partnership with The New York Times who owns the word guessing game, is expected to premiere in 2027.

Her co-stars celebrated the exciting career move, with Craig gushing that there was “no one better” to front the series while the panel wished her luck before production begins.

Savannah’s airport departure appears to mark the start of that filming schedule, with the anchor expected to be away from Today for several weeks before returning to the NBC morning show later this Summer.

The move across the pond comes as her family, and the world, is still searching for answers as to what happened to Savannah’s missing mother, Nancy Guthrie.
