Meghan Markle’s Personal Mobile Number Leaked From School Parents’ WhatsApp Group

Meghan Markle’s personal mobile number has reportedly been exposed after a screenshot from a WhatsApp group for parents at her children’s school was shared multiple times.

The Duchess of Sussex had joined the Year 3 parents’ chat shortly before Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet began attending a school in the UK. The incident has now added another layer to the family’s ongoing security concerns as Harry and Meghan settle back into life in Britain.

According to reports, Meghan joined the group the night before Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, started at the school.

One parent welcomed her by writing: “Welcome to Meghan who has Archie joining tomo.”

Another parent added: “Welcome!!”

Meghan then replied: “Hi moms! Thanks for the warm welcome (heart emoji) So happy to be a part of this community xx”

A screenshot containing the conversation was subsequently circulated multiple times, revealing her personal number.

Archie and Lilibet Change Schools After Two Days

The disclosure comes as Harry and Meghan have already faced a fresh security issue involving their children’s school.

Archie and Lilibet were withdrawn from their new school after just two days because the family’s security team raised concerns about the practicalities of the school commute. ITV News reported that issues included the amount of time the children could be stationary in traffic, whether the family and security vehicles could remain together, the repeated nature of the route and the overall journey time.

The couple’s spokesperson stressed that the decision was not a criticism of the school or its staff, saying the parents remained grateful for the care their children had received.

The children have since started at another school in the same area. Their new school was assessed by security staff before Archie and Lilibet began attending.

The move also came amid reports that the original journey could take considerably longer than expected because of heavy rush-hour traffic and a traffic bottleneck created by parked cars.

The issue was significant because the security team had to consider not only the children’s journey but also how the family’s vehicles and protection arrangements would operate along the route.

Meghan and Harry Face New Security Reviews

The WhatsApp incident comes at a particularly sensitive time for the Sussexes’ security arrangements in Britain.

After Harry and Meghan returned to the UK with their children, the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, known as RAVEC, agreed that both would undergo new security assessments.

For Meghan, this is the first formal review of potential risks and threats since she and Harry stepped away from working royal duties in 2020. Harry underwent another Risk Management Board assessment in July, although that review was conducted before the committee knew the family was preparing to relocate to Britain.

RAVEC has also requested information about the couple’s schedules and daily routines as part of the current process.

The couple currently do not have the automatic police protection they received while working members of the Royal Family. Harry has spent years challenging the arrangements and previously argued that his family remained at risk when visiting Britain.

His legal efforts to restore the level of protection he previously received have so far been unsuccessful. The renewed review follows the family’s return to Britain as full-time residents.

Harry’s Long-Running Security Dispute

Security has remained one of the most contentious issues between Harry and the UK authorities since he and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

Harry has argued that the arrangements provided to his family in Britain are insufficient and has sought a greater level of police protection. The current review is taking place against that wider background.

ITV News reported that the protection currently provided by British police includes a liaison officer’s telephone number, while additional interim measures have been introduced around the family’s new home.

The school move has brought those concerns into sharper focus because the daily journey created practical challenges for the family’s security team.

The Sussexes’ Status Remains Unchanged

The latest developments also come shortly after Buckingham Palace reiterated the Sussexes’ official position within the Royal Family.

In a letter released earlier this month, the King confirmed that Harry and Meghan remain non-working royals and private citizens. Their status therefore remains governed by the arrangements agreed after they stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

The couple had announced in January 2020 that they intended to step back as senior members of the Royal Family and become financially independent while dividing their time between the UK and North America.

However, the Sandringham agreement established that they could not maintain a “half-in, half-out” role as working royals while pursuing their independent commercial activities.

Amid the latest security developments, Meghan also shared a series of personal family photographs to mark Harry’s 42nd birthday.

In an Instagram post set to an acoustic cover of a Tina Turner classic, she wrote: “He’s simply the best. Happy birthday, my love.”

The carousel included photographs of Harry with Archie and Lilibet, including a skiing picture, an image of Harry kissing Meghan in a vineyard and a quad-biking photograph.

The family’s return to Britain has therefore unfolded alongside renewed attention on their security arrangements, their children’s schooling and the couple’s continuing status as non-working members of the Royal Family.
