Harry and Meghan Deny Reported Secret Meeting With Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner During UK Visit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have pushed back against reports that they held a private meeting with former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner and her husband, Christian Horner, during their recent time in the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in Britain last month, where they reunited with King Charles and reportedly visited Princess Diana’s grave at Althorp. With the couple expected to return to the UK for a longer stay, reports had suggested that their July visit included another high-profile encounter.
According to reports, Harry and Meghan had supposedly met Christian and Geri Halliwell-Horner at the couple’s property in the Cotswolds. The claims even suggested that the pair had become part of the Sussexes’ expanding circle of friends.
However, a spokesperson for Harry and Meghan has now denied that such a “summit” took place.
Sussexes Reject Claims About the Alleged Meeting

The Sussexes’ spokesperson told the Mirror that Harry and Meghan are “great fans” of Christian and Geri, but denied that the couples had held a private meeting concerning the Sussexes’ plans to return to Britain.
The spokesperson also rejected suggestions that the Formula 1 figure and his wife were advising Harry and Meghan about their potential UK comeback.
Earlier reports had quoted sources claiming Meghan and Geri had become increasingly friendly and were communicating more frequently. The same reports suggested Christian had also spoken with Harry and that the two men were friends.
Those claims, however, have now been directly challenged by the Sussexes’ representative.
Harry and Geri Do Have a Connection From Years Ago

Although Harry and Meghan reportedly did not have the alleged meeting with the Horners, the Duke of Sussex does have a long-standing connection with Geri dating back to his teenage years.
Harry recalled meeting the Spice Girls during a 1997 event in South Africa while accompanying his father. At the time, Geri was still known as Ginger Spice, and Harry wrote about the encounter in his 2023 memoir, Spare.
He described feeling a particular connection with Geri because they shared the same distinctive hair colour.
Harry also recalled interactions with other members of the group, including Baby Spice and Posh Spice, before describing Ginger Spice as the only member with whom he felt a genuine connection.
A Possible Cotswolds Connection?

Harry and Meghan are expected to cross the Atlantic again soon, with UK school terms beginning early next month.
While the couple have yet to reveal a definite accommodation plan, the Cotswolds has emerged as one possible location for their stay.
That has added another intriguing layer to the story.
If the Sussexes eventually choose the area as their UK base, they could potentially find themselves living near Christian and Geri Halliwell-Horner — despite their spokesperson insisting that the much-discussed July “summit” never happened.
For now, the reported meeting remains firmly disputed, leaving the exact nature of the Sussexes’ relationship with the Horners open to speculation.
