Devoted fans are already eagerly awaiting the next instalment of what’s being hailed as one of the year’s finest programmes.
The opening three episodes of Furious became available earlier this week. Streaming exclusively on Disney+, the serial killer thriller has already captivated audiences and drawn comparisons to series such as Dexter and Killing Eve.
The synopsis describes how FBI agent Alice Black embarks on a pursuit of an enigmatic, methodical female serial killer. Each follows their own trajectory towards justice, and as their paths begin to cross, the distinction between right and wrong starts to become increasingly unclear.
The series draws inspiration from the 1980s film Black Widow, though rather than being a direct adaptation, it opts to explore a sinister conspiracy. Furious was developed by Elizabeth Meriwether, who previously created the much-loved sitcom New Girl and wrote the biographical drama The Dropout.
Despite the full series not yet being available, the programme has secured a flawless 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Regrettably for enthusiasts, there’s a considerable wait ahead for subsequent episodes and discovering how events unfold, reports OK!.

When does the next episode of Furious release?
The inaugural season of Furious comprises eight episodes in total. While the opening three were released together on July 27, the remaining instalments will be made available weekly.
This commences with episode four, dropping on August 3. The schedule then continues every Monday, with new releases typically accessible to Disney+ subscribers from around 8am local time.
The eighth and final episode of the series will land on August 31. At present, it appears that Furious is intended as a one-off limited series.
