Meghan Markle faced accusations of imitating Lady Victoria Beckham following her recent birthday celebration video posted on social media.
The Duchess of Sussex shared a new clip to her Instagram stories on Tuesday, August 4, revealing how she marked her birthday morning at her Montecito, California, residence.
The footage showed Meghan dancing in her Montecito kitchen beside an island decorated with large happy birthday balloons. She appeared barefoot, wearing casual white pajamas – white pants paired with an oversized t-shirt reading: “It’s giving Mrs.”
Her hair was styled in a bun beneath a “birthday” tiara.
Prince Harry, presumably filming the moment, could be heard laughing in the background and remarking: “Oh dear.”

However, online observers have highlighted how Meghan’s dance moves allegedly bear striking resemblance to those of Lady Beckham during her family’s Canadian vacation in 2024.
One user compiled a side-by-side comparison video of both clips, prompting fans to flood the comments section with their opinions.
The user, @fashionistaera, posted on X: “Not only did Meghan happily copy Diana’s jumping-into-the-water pose with jewelry, but now she’s happily copying the Beckhams’ dance.”

Another commenter wrote: “I knew I had seen that dance somewhere.”
A third person suggested: “I’m convinced she’s doing it so she’s mocked and then she cries ‘I’m the most trolled person’.”
