Patrick Clancy has revealed that he still talks to his three children who were killed by their mother, asking them to “help” him through the unbearable pain of losing them.
In a preview of his first interview since Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial ended in a mistrial, Patrick told 60 Minutes correspondent Ross Douthat that he continues to speak to Cora, Dawson and Callan despite their deaths.
Asked what he says to them, the 38-year-old gave a devastatingly simple answer.
“‘Help me.’ All the time,” Patrick said.
The emotional revelation comes just weeks after his former wife’s closely watched Massachusetts murder trial ended without a verdict.
‘Help Me’ — Patrick Opens Up About His Children
Patrick’s interview with 60 Minutes marks the first time he has spoken publicly at length since the mistrial.
The couple’s three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and eight-month-old Callan — were killed in the basement of the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023.
Lindsay Clancy, now 36, admitted that she strangled the children.
Her defense argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time and therefore could not be held criminally responsible for her actions.
The trial ended after the jury deliberated for more than 38 hours over seven days but failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
The final vote was 11-1, with one juror refusing to join the others in voting for Clancy’s acquittal.

Patrick Has Faced a Wave of Online Attacks
Since the trial began, Patrick has also been dealing with a separate ordeal away from the courtroom.
The 38-year-old, who remarried in April and now lives in New York, has faced threats and an online campaign accusing him of being involved in the deaths of his children.
His attorney, Howard Cooper, has strongly rejected those allegations.
“Over the past months, Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign,” Cooper told Boston 25 News.
The lawyer accused minor celebrities, influencers and conspiracy theorists of spreading what he described as false claims about Patrick in an effort to increase their social-media profiles and potential profits.
Cooper also indicated that legal action could be considered against people responsible for spreading the allegations.

He Remembered Lindsay as a Loving Mother
During Lindsay’s trial, Patrick remained largely stoic while giving evidence about his family and the life they shared before the tragedy.
Despite everything that happened, he described Lindsay as a loving mother to their children.
He recalled how she would “make up songs” with them and prepare special meals, including green eggs and ham.
Those memories provided a glimpse into the family life that existed before the January 2023 killings and the devastating events that followed.

Patrick’s brief appearance has already offered a deeply personal glimpse into how he continues to cope with the loss of his children.
His admission that he still speaks to them and asks them to “help” him underscores the enduring grief he carries more than three years after their deaths.
The complete interview with Patrick Clancy is scheduled to air on 60 Minutes on Sunday night, September 20, 2026.
It will be his first full interview since Lindsay Clancy’s trial ended in a mistrial.
